👋 Welcome in. I’m Andrew Bozalis—a creative storyteller based in Los Angeles. I wrote the coming-of-age graffiti drama Vandal, which premiered at the Miami Film Festival and is currently streaming on FuseTV, as well as most major platforms. The film was even nominated for "Best Broadcast Network or Cable Live-Action TV Movie" by the Hollywood Critics Association, which was an incredible honor.
Recently, I was hired to adapt the best-selling biographical war drama Never Quit for Front Berner Entertainment and producer Barry Josephson. A few of my earlier screenplays were featured on the Black List (in both 2014 and 2017), which helped shape my journey as a writer. In addition to writing, I also produced the the action-dramedy short Hitting On Destiny, which premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and received great audience feedback at several others—including Garden State, Fort Myers, Gasparilla, and Dead Center.
I’m an alum of Electric Entertainment and currently represented by Zero Gravity and GGSSC, LLP.
I studied Film & Television at Southern Methodist University, where I earned my B.A. and minored in Psychology. I also completed additional training at the New York Film Academy at Harvard.

UNCONVENTIONAL WARFARE is a prestige limited series based on a nonfiction book that will be the BAND OF BROTHERS or GENERATION KILL for the war in Afghanistan, but with a unique focus on the indigenous perspective akin to MOSUL. It follows two disparate groups of people who work together, utilizing cultural sensitivity and respect, to forge common ground: A unit of Army Special Forces soldiers, Green Berets who go by the call sign “Hammerhead Six,” and the Pashtun tribes-people, whom they live amongst and fight beside. The show is a neo-western war drama set on the frontier of Afghanistan’s Pech Valley that will showcase the complex cultural and political landscape of the region. This place has served as a backdrop for some of the most popular and well-known stories of the war, such as LONE SURVIVOR, RESTREPO, and THE OUTPOST. But our story takes place before all of that, before the Pech came to be known as “The Valley of Death,” before America’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. Feature Script Complete 2019.
Logline: Based on a true story, in 1955, Medal of Honor winner and Hollywood actor Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier in all of WWII, is asked to play himself in a film adaptation of his heroic exploits. As the cameras roll, he re-lives the harrowing events of the war while battling PTS, a pill addiction, a gambling problem and sleeping with a gun under his pillow.
